सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge
न्येमध्येनगच्छन्तिपार्श्वतोऽन्येप्लवङ्गमाः ।सलिलंप्रपतन्तन्येमार्गमन्येनलेभिरे ।।।।केचिद्वैहायसगतास्सुपर्णाइवपुप्लुवुः ।
nye madhyeṇa gacchanti pārśvato 'nye plavaṅgamāḥ |
salilaṃ prapatanti nye mārgaṃ anye na lebhire ||
ke-cid vaihāyasagatāḥ suparṇā iva pupluvuḥ |
Some monkeys went along the middle, others along the sides; some, finding no footing, fell into the water, while others sought another route. A few took to the sky-path and leapt like birds.
While some monkeys walked in the middle some went in the side, some others were falling down in water (for the want of space to walk) some others went like birds in the path of the sky.
Dharma is collective perseverance: many temperaments and methods converge toward one righteous goal, even amid disorder and difficulty.
The vānaras cross in crowded conditions—some proceed steadily, some stumble into the sea, and some leap through the air.
Determination and adaptability—finding a way forward despite obstacles and limited space.
