विभीषणाभिषेकः — The Consecration of Vibhishana and Counsel on Crossing the Ocean
एवमुक्तौततोवीरावुभौसुग्रीवलक्ष्मणौ ।समुदाचारसंयुक्तमिदंवचनमूचतुः ।।6.19.37।।
evam uktau tato vīrāv ubhau sugrīvalakṣmaṇau | samudācārasaṃyuktam idaṃ vacanam ūcatuḥ ||6.19.37||
Thus addressed, the two heroes—Sugrīva and Lakṣmaṇa—replied with words marked by proper decorum and respectful custom.
Heroic Rama having said that way to both, Lakshmana and Sugriva replied thus respectfully following tradition (with folded hands).
Dharma includes maryādā—speaking with respectful etiquette, especially when advising a righteous leader in a critical moment.
After Rāma invites their considered opinion, Lakṣmaṇa and Sugrīva respond formally and respectfully.
Respectful speech and disciplined counsel—strength is paired with propriety.
