विभीषणाभिषेकः — The Consecration of Vibhishana and Counsel on Crossing the Ocean
एवमुक्तस्तुसौमित्रिरभ्यषिञ्चद्विभीषणम् ।मध्येवानरमुख्यानांराजानंरामशासनात् ।।6.19.26।।
evam uktaḥ tu saumitrir abhyaṣiñcad vibhīṣaṇam | madhye vānara-mukhyānāṃ rājānaṃ rāma-śāsanāt ||6.19.26||
Thus addressed, Saumitrī (Lakṣmaṇa), by Rāma’s command, consecrated Vibhīṣaṇa as king in the midst of the foremost Vānara leaders.
(Rama) having spoken that way, Saumithri crowned Vibheeshana as crowned king on the command of Rama amid Vanara army chiefs.
Dharma is upheld through obedience to righteous authority and proper ritual action that establishes legitimate leadership.
Lakṣmaṇa performs Vibhīṣaṇa’s consecration publicly among the Vānara leaders, formalizing the new kingship.
Lakṣmaṇa’s disciplined service and fidelity to Rāma’s command (sevā and niyama).
