Shloka 6.19.1
विभीषणाभिषेकः — The Consecration of Vibhishana and Counsel on Crossing the Ocean
राघवेणाभयेदत्तेसन्नतोरावणानुजः ।विभीषणोमहाप्राज्ञोभूमिंसमवलोकयन् ।।6.19.1।।
rāvaṇānantaro bhrātā mama jyeṣṭhaś ca vīryavān | kumbhakarṇo mahātejāḥ śakrapratibalo yudhi ||
My elder brother—next in age to Rāvaṇa—is the mighty and radiant Kumbhakarṇa, Indra’s equal in strength upon the battlefield.
When wise Vibheeshana, the brother of Ravana was assured of security by Raghava, he looked around the ground and prepared (to descend).
Satya in counsel: even when speaking about one’s own family, dharma requires truthful assessment for the protection of those who have granted refuge.
Having been accepted, Vibhīṣaṇa begins informing Rāma about Laṅkā’s principal warriors and their strengths.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s loyalty to righteousness over blood ties, shown through frank and useful intelligence.
