अयोध्याप्रत्यागमन-सन्देशः (Hanuman Sent Ahead to Ayodhya)
नहितेराजपुत्रंतंचीरकृष्णाजिनाम्बरम् ।।।।परिभोक्तुंव्यवस्यन्तिपौरावैधर्मवत्सलाः ।
na hi te rājaputraṃ taṃ cīrakṛṣṇājināmbaram |
paribhoktuṃ vyavasyanti paurā vai dharmavatsalāḥ ||
For the citizens—truly devoted to dharma—would not bring themselves to indulge in comforts, when that prince himself wore garments of bark and black antelope-skin.
The citizens (of Ayodhya) who were lovers of virtues did not enjoy any luxuries, not inclined for pleasures as the prince himself was wearing bark of trees and skin of antelope.
It shows collective dharma: the citizens align their conduct with the prince’s austere, righteous life, refusing personal luxury out of moral solidarity.
Satya is implied through consistency between values and action: because the prince truthfully lives in renunciation, the citizens also act in accordance with that reality rather than pursuing pleasure.
