अयोध्याप्रत्यागमन-सन्देशः (Hanuman Sent Ahead to Ayodhya)
सर्वकालसमृद्धंहिहस्त्यश्वरथसङ्कुलम् ।पितृपैतामहंराज्यंकस्यनावर्तयेन्मनः ।।।।
sarvakālasamṛddhaṃ hi hasty-aśva-ratha-saṅkulam | pitṛpaitāmahaṃ rājyaṃ kasya nāvartayen manaḥ ||
“For this ancestral kingdom—prosperous at all times and filled with elephants, horses, and chariots—whose mind would it not naturally draw?”
"Whose mind will not be tempted at the abundance of elephants and horses of father's and grandfather's kingdom?"
Dharma recognizes human temptation realistically; ethical governance requires acknowledging desire for power and ensuring rule rests on righteousness, not allure.
Rāma reflects that even a virtuous person could be drawn by the splendor of kingship, hence the need to verify Bharata’s intentions.
