On its bank I met Śabarī, devoted to righteousness; and here too I slew Kabandha, whose arms stretched a yojana in length.
"On its bank (Pampa) I saw Sabari, who was following the righteous path. Kabhanda, of eight miles long arms, was killed by me."
Dharma is shown in honoring the righteous (Śabarī) and removing threats (Kabandha): protection and respect for virtue are complementary duties.
Rāma recalls meeting the devout Śabarī on the bank near Pampā and also recalls killing Kabandha in that region.
Reverence for the dharmic and courage against the harmful—Rāma balances humility with strength.
