पुष्पकविमानयात्रा—सेतुबन्धादि-दर्शनम् (Pushpaka Aerial Journey and Survey of Sacred Landmarks)
एवमुक्तोऽऽथवैदेह्याराघवःप्रत्युवाचताम् ।एवमस्त्वितिकिष्किन्धांप्राप्यसंस्थाप्यराघवः ।।।।विमानंप्रेक्ष्यसुग्रीवंवाक्यमेतदुवाच ह ।
evam ukto ’tha vaidehyā rāghavaḥ pratyuvāca tām |
evam astv iti kiṣkindhāṃ prāpya saṃsthāpya rāghavaḥ ||
vimānaṃ prekṣya sugrīvaṃ vākyam etad uvāca ha ||
Thus addressed by Vaidehī, Rāghava replied to her, “So be it.” Then, having reached Kiṣkindhā and having the vimāna brought to a halt, Rāghava looked upon Sugrīva and spoke these words.
Vaidehi having spoken like that, Raghava replied her saying 'So be it' and Raghava stopped Pushpaka at Kishkinda, looked at Sugriva and spoke as follows.
Rama’s immediate assent—“evam astu” (“so be it”)—signals consistency between word and deed: he accepts Vaidehi’s request/statement and acts accordingly without duplicity, embodying satya as dependable speech followed by action.
It highlights relational dharma (duty toward allies and kingship ethics): Rama honors the alliance and social obligations by pausing at Kishkindha and formally engaging Sugriva, showing that righteous conduct includes gratitude, order, and proper acknowledgment of support.
