विभीषणाभिषेकः (Vibhīṣaṇa’s Consecration) and Hanumān’s Commission to Sītā
अभ्यषिञ्चंस्तदासर्वेराक्षसावानरास्तथा ।।।।प्रहर्षमतुलंगत्वातुष्टुवूराममवे ह ।
tasyāmātyā jahṛṣire bhaktā ye cāsya rākṣasāḥ | dṛṣṭvābhiṣiktaṃ laṅkāyāṃ rākṣasendraṃ vibhīṣaṇam ||
Seeing Vibhīṣaṇa anointed in Laṅkā as lord of the Rakṣasas, his ministers—and those Rakṣasas devoted to him—rejoiced.
Thereafter all the Rakshasas and Vanaras also consecrated with extreme joy and paid tribute to Rama alone.
Dharma includes stability through rightful succession: when leadership is established through legitimate means, the community’s responsible members accept and support it.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s supporters in Laṅkā celebrate upon witnessing his formal anointing as ruler.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s moral credibility—his followers rejoice because his rule promises justice rather than tyranny.
