रावणवधदर्शनम् — Lament of the Rākṣasa Women upon Seeing Rāvaṇa Slain

tvayā punar nṛśaṃsena sītāṃ saṃrundhatā balāt | rākṣasā vayam ātmā ca trayaṃ tulyaṃ nipātitam ||

Because you, in cruelty, kept Sītā confined by force, the rākṣasas, we ourselves, and you too—these three alike—have been brought down together into ruin.

"With evil intention you kept Sita under detention. These Rakshasas and you and us all the three are together destroyed."

Adharma—especially violence and coercion against the innocent—destroys not only the perpetrator but also the community that supports or enables it.

After Rāvaṇa’s fall, the queens and women of Laṅkā lament and reflect on the root cause of the catastrophe—Sītā’s forcible confinement.

Moral clarity in grief: the speaker names wrongdoing truthfully, even while mourning, aligning lament with ethical discernment (satya-bhāṣaṇa).
