तयाधर्षणयाक्रुद्धोमातलेर्नतथात्मनः ।।।।चकारशरजालेनराघवोविमुखंरिपुम् ।

Transliteration

mātales tu mahāvegāḥ śarīre patitāḥ śarāḥ |

na sūkṣmam api sammohaṃ vyathāṃ vā pradadur yudhi ||

Translation

Yet the swift, forceful arrows that fell upon Mātali’s body caused him in battle neither the slightest confusion nor any pain.

Context

Rama was furious for tormenting Matali like that, but not for hurting him and in fury discharged a network of arrows on him (Ravana) and diverted him.
