Today I shall perform a deed that all the worlds—moving and unmoving beings alike, together with the Devas—will speak of for as long as the earth endures: how, here before the assembled world, this battle was waged.
All mobile and immobile beings of all worlds, so also on earth, will be able to see. Theywill talk about this war, collected together in the world, which I will accomplish.
Rāma frames the coming act as a dharmic, world-witnessed deed: righteous action should be accountable to the moral order (including the devas) and worthy of truthful remembrance.
On the battlefield in Laṅkā, Rāma declares that he will accomplish a decisive act in the duel, one that will be remembered as long as the earth endures.
Rāma’s resolve and righteous confidence—acting openly, with responsibility before the world, rather than through concealment or deceit.
