That śakti, having pierced through Saumitri, entered the earth. Then Rāma—mighty and wrathful in battle—grasped the fearsome weapon with both hands, wrenched it free, and broke it.
It was not feasible for the best of Vanaras to pull out the javelin (from Lakshmana's body) discharged with great strength from Ravana's hand, despite great efforts.
Dharma appears as protective duty: Rāma acts decisively to remove the instrument of harm from Lakṣmaṇa, prioritizing rescue and rightful resistance to adharma.
The śakti has passed through Lakṣmaṇa and lodged in the earth; Rāma seizes it, pulls it out, and breaks it amid combat.
Rāma’s śaurya (valor) and rakṣaṇa-bhāva (protective guardianship) are emphasized.
