रावण–रामयुद्धप्रारम्भः (The Intensification of the Rama–Ravana Duel)

पूरितातेनशब्देनसनदीगिरिकानना ।सञ्चचाल मही सर्वा त्रस्तसिंहमृगद्विजा ।।6.100.7।।

Transliteration

utpapāta rajo bhūmau tair bhagnaiḥ sampradhāvitaiḥ |

na hi tat sahituṃ śekur brahmaṇā nirmitaṃ svayam ||6.100.9||

Translation

Dust rose from the ground as the broken troops ran in all directions; for they were not able to withstand that weapon, fashioned by Brahmā himself.

By that sound, the rivers, mountains, and forests including the earth, filled with the boars, lions and other beasts were shaken.
