रावण–रामयुद्धप्रारम्भः (The Intensification of the Rama–Ravana Duel)
अग्निदीप्तमुखान्बाणांस्तत्रसूर्यमुखानपि ।।6.100.46।।चन्द्रार्धचन्द्रवक्रांश्चधूमकेतुमुखानपि ।ग्रहनक्षत्रवर्णांश्चमहोल्कामुखसंस्थितान् ।।6.100.47।।विद्युजजिह्वोपमांश्चापिससर्ज विविधान् शरान् ।
agnidīptamukhān bāṇāṃs tatra sūryamukhān api ॥6.100.46॥
candrārdhacandravakrāṃś ca dhūmaketumukhān api |
grahanakṣatravarṇāṃś ca maholkāmukhasaṃsthitān ॥6.100.47॥
vidyujjihvopamāṃś cāpi sasarja vividhān śarān |
There, Rāma released many kinds of arrows—some with blazing, fire-like fronts; some like the face of the sun; some curved like the full moon and the half-moon; some like a comet’s head; some gleaming like planets and stars; some set with great meteoric flames; and others like tongues of lightning.
There Rama produced missiles glowing like fire, like Sun 's face, like moon's face, crescent moon face, face like Dhumakethu, missiles like planets, and star faced, with fire sticks like face resembling flashes and lightning and several others and let loose.
It portrays Rāma’s decisive yet disciplined action in a righteous battle: his power is immense, but it is exercised in service of restoring order and justice, not for cruelty or personal gain.
