सीतावृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् / Report of Sītā’s Condition and Tokens of Recognition
एवं मया महाभागा दृष्टा जनकनन्दिनी।उग्रेण तपसा युक्ता त्वद्भक्त्या पुरुषर्षभ।।।।
tataḥ sambhāṣitā devī sarvam arthaṃ ca darśitā || 5.65.16 ||
rāma-sugrīva-sakhyaṃ ca śrutvā prītim upāgatā |
niyataḥ samudācāro bhaktiś cāsyās tathā tvayi || 5.65.17 ||
Then, as the noble lady spoke with me, I set forth the whole matter; and when she heard of the alliance between Rama and Sugriva, she was gladdened—her conduct unwaveringly righteous in dharma, and her devotion firmly directed toward you.
"O bull among men! I saw Janaki,the delight of Janaka, a formidable lady filled with devotion to you and richly endowed with austerity.
Dharma is steadfastness in right conduct under adversity, supported by satya—truthful, complete reporting that restores hope and moral clarity.
Hanuman continues his report to Rama, emphasizing Sita’s joy upon learning of Rama’s strengthened alliance.
