Shloka 5.64.12

अङ्गद-प्रत्यागमनम् — Angada’s Return and the Confirmation of Sītā’s Discovery

शङ्के श्रुतोऽयं वृत्तान्तो रामेण हरियूथपाः।तत्क्षमं नेह नः स्थातुं कृते कार्ये परन्तपाः।।।।

śaṅke śruto 'yaṃ vṛttānto rāmeṇa hariyūthapāḥ | tatkṣamaṃ neha naḥ sthātuṃ kṛte kārye parantapāḥ ||

“Leaders of the monkey-troops, I suspect Rāma has already heard this news. Since our mission is accomplished, O scorcher of foes, it is not proper for us to linger here.”

"O scorcher of enemies! I presume Rama has already heard the news of our arrival on accomplishment of the task. Hence it is not proper for us to tarry here.

Duty requires timely action: once the task is fulfilled, one should not indulge further but return to report truthfully and promptly to the rightful leader.

Angada urges the troop to stop lingering after their success and proceed to where Rāma and Sugrīva are.

Sense of duty (kartavya-niṣṭhā) and disciplined urgency.
