Some sang; some bowed down in reverence; some danced; some laughed. Some tumbled and fell; some wandered to and fro; some leapt; and some babbled in their merriment.
Some sang, some prostrated on the ground, some danced, while some laughed, some jumped from the tree, some roamed about and some jumped up and down.
The verse illustrates the human (and Vānara) dimension of dharma: after hardship and duty, lawful celebration and gratitude can restore strength—so long as it remains within rightful bounds.
A vivid description of the Vānaras’ varied revelry in Madhuvana after receiving permission.
Spontaneous camaraderie—shared joy that reinforces group cohesion after a demanding mission.
