Now that this task has reached this point and has been reported to you, it is only right that the two princes—Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa—should meet Vaidehī (Sītā) in person.
Dharma here is ‘nyāya’—acting by what is proper and rightful. After truthful reporting (satya-nivedana) of the mission’s outcome, the correct course is that Sītā’s reunion and rescue be accomplished through the rightful agents (Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa), not through impulsive unilateral action.
After Sītā has been located and the situation has been communicated among the vānaras, the speaker argues that the next appropriate step is to bring Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa so that they may meet Sītā and proceed with the rescue in a lawful, ordered way.
Prudence aligned with righteousness (nyāya) and fidelity to truthful communication (satya): the mission should proceed by proper counsel and legitimate responsibility rather than mere strength.
