Victory to mighty Rama, and to great-armed Lakshmana; victory to King Sugriva, protected by Raghava. I am the servant of the king of Kosala, born of the Wind—Hanuman; thus everywhere I made my name known.
"Mighty Rama and Lakshmana and King Sugriva protected by Rama are renowned for their valour. I am Hanuman, son of the Windgod, a servant of Rama. This I announced.
The verse reinforces dharmic hierarchy and service: the servant’s glory is to proclaim and uphold the righteous leader’s cause, not to seek independent sovereignty.
A repeat/dual-numbered presentation of Hanuman’s proclamation, preserved in this recension’s verse numbering.
Steadfast devotion (niṣṭhā) and righteous speech—publicly affirming Rama’s legitimacy and mission.
