हनूमद्वृत्तान्तः—वानरबलप्रशंसा च (Hanuman’s Report and Praise of the Vanara Host)
पितामहवरोत्सेकात्परमं दर्पमास्थितौ।अमृतप्राशिनावेतौ सर्ववानरसत्तमौ।।।।
aśvi-putrau mahābhāgāv etau plavaga-sattamau |
etayoḥ pratiyoddhāraṃ na paśyāmi raṇājire ||
These two, the sons of the Aśvins, are greatly illustrious—the finest among the vānara warriors. On the battlefield, I see no one who could truly stand against them.
"By virtue of the boons received from Brahma, they are very proud. They have also consumed nectar of immortality and are foremost among vanaras.
Dharma is protected by capable allies; the verse reinforces faith in righteous strength and the legitimacy of resisting adharma.
The vānara host is being assured of victory by highlighting the unmatched prowess of Mainda and Dvivida, identified as sons of the Aśvins.
