रावणदर्शनम् — Hanuman Beholds Ravana in Court
भ्राजमानं महार्हेण काञ्चनेन विराजता।मुक्ताजालावृतेनाथ मकुटेन महाद्युतिम्।।5.49.2।।
vajrasaṃyogasaṃyuktair mahārhamaṇivigrahaiḥ |
haimair ābharaṇaiś citrair manaseva prakalpitaiḥ ||5.49.3||
He was adorned with marvelous golden ornaments, set with diamonds and fashioned in precious gem-forms—so exquisite they seemed as though wrought by imagination itself.
(Hanuman looked at Ravana) of innate splendour, who shone with a glittering crown of gold glowing, encircled with strings of pearls.
Material refinement is not a measure of righteousness; Dharma is measured by restraint, truthfulness, and non-violence in action.
Hanumān continues to visually assess Rāvaṇa’s appearance, noting the extraordinary craftsmanship of his ornaments.
Hanumān’s focus and mission-mindedness—he observes details while remaining committed to Sītā’s search and Rāma’s cause.
