Hearing the rumble of his chariot and the twang of his bowstring, that heroic leader among the monkeys became even more exhilarated.
The leader of the monkey also became happier on hearing the rumbling (of the chariot) and the twang of Indrajit's bow-string.
Dharma in adversity includes steadiness and courage. The righteous warrior does not collapse before intimidation; he meets challenge with composure and resolve.
Indrajit approaches with the martial display of chariot and bow; Hanuman interprets it as the arrival of a worthy opponent and becomes more energized for combat.
Fearless confidence and readiness to face danger for a righteous cause—Hanuman’s steadfast valor.
