The foremost of the vanaras appeared like Meru or Mandara, blazing like a bright fire, and stood before Sītā.
Hanuman, the foremost of the vanaras resembling mount Meru or Mandara stood there glowing like blazing fire in front of Sita.
Righteous strength is meant to protect: the awe of Hanumān’s form functions as assurance for the vulnerable, supporting dharma through safety and trust.
Hanumān completes his transformation and positions himself before Sītā so she can directly witness his true magnitude.
Might under discipline—Hanumān’s grandeur is controlled and directed toward service.
