सीताप्रत्यय-प्रदानम् (Sita’s Recognition and Reassurance by the Envoy)
कच्चिच्छ लक्ष्मणश्शूरस्सुमित्रानन्दवर्धनः।अस्त्रविच्छरजालेन राक्षसान्विधमिष्यति।।।।
pratyayārthaṁ tavānītaṁ tena dattaṁ mahātmanā | samāśvasihi bhadraṁ te kṣīṇaduḥkhaphalā hy asi ||
This has been brought to you as a token of trust, given by the great-souled Rāma. Be at ease; blessings upon you: truly, the fruit of your sorrow is nearing its end.
"Hope heroic Lakshmana, enhancer of the joy of Sumitra, who has mastered the use of weapons will blow away the demons through a network of arrows.
Dharma here is truthful communication and responsible reassurance: a messenger must establish credibility (pratyaya) and speak in a way that reduces fear and grief without deception.
Hanumān shows Sītā Rāma’s token (the ring) to confirm he is truly Rāma’s envoy, and he comforts her after her long suffering in Laṅkā.
