सीताप्रत्यय-प्रदानम् (Sita’s Recognition and Reassurance by the Envoy)
भूय एव महातेजा हनूमान्पवनात्मजः।अब्रवीत्प्रश्रितं वाक्यं सीताप्रत्ययकारणात्।।।।
bhūya eva mahā-tejā hanūmān pavanātmajaḥ |
abravīt praśritaṁ vākyaṁ sītā-pratyaya-kāraṇāt ||
Again, mighty Hanumān, the son of the Wind-god, spoke with humility, so as to become the cause of Sītā’s trust.
Mighty Hanuman, the son of the Wind-god again spoke to Sita humbly to inspire confidence in her.
Dharma in communication: a righteous envoy speaks with humility and clarity to establish trust, avoiding coercion or arrogance.
After initial contact, Hanumān continues speaking in a respectful tone to reassure Sītā that he truly represents Rāma.
Vinaya (humility) aligned with satya (truthfulness): Hanumān adapts his speech to Sītā’s need for verification and safety.
