हनुमता सीतासंवादोपायचिन्ता — Hanuman’s Deliberation on How to Address Sita
इक्ष्वाकूणां वरिष्ठस्य रामस्य विदितात्मनः।।।।शुभानि धर्मयुक्तानि वचनानि समर्पयन्।श्रावयिष्यामि सर्वाणि मधुरां प्रब्रुवन् गिरम्।।।।श्रद्धास्यति यथाहीयं तथा सर्वं समादधे।
rākṣasānāṃ viśeṣaś ca purī ceyam avekṣitā |
rākṣasādhipater asya prabhāvo rāvaṇasya ca ||
I have observed the distinctive strengths of the rākṣasas and have also surveyed this city. I have seen as well the might of Rāvaṇa, the lord of the rākṣasas.
"I shall present in auspicious words the esteemed Rama of Ikshvaku family who is a knower of self and make her listen to everything in such a sweet manner that she will trust me.
Dharma here supports prudent action grounded in truthful assessment: before acting, Hanumān carefully observes realities (enemy strength and terrain) rather than relying on impulse.
After entering Laṅkā and locating Sītā, Hanumān reflects on what he has seen—Laṅkā’s defenses and Rāvaṇa’s power—before deciding his next step.
Viveka (discernment) and satya-based clarity—Hanumān’s capacity to evaluate facts accurately in service of Rāma’s mission.
