sa tu vīryavatāṁ śreṣṭhaḥ plavatām api cottamaḥ |

jagāma vegavān laṅkāṁ laṅghayitvā mahodadhim ||

He—foremost among the mighty and best even among leapers—swiftly reached Laṅkā after crossing the great ocean.

Inlaid with precious gems and fretwork, and ornamented with pearls, the mansions of demons looked splendid.

H
Hanumān
L
Laṅkā
M
Mahodadhi (the great ocean)

Dharma is shown as unwavering effort in service of truth: Hanumān’s extraordinary feat is undertaken not for self-glory but to advance Rāma’s righteous cause.

This verse states the accomplishment that enables the Laṅkā episode: Hanumān has already crossed the ocean and arrived at Laṅkā.

Vīrya (valor/strength) harnessed to devotion and duty.
