अशोकवनिकायां सीतादर्शनम् (Sita Seen in the Ashoka Grove)
स देशः प्रभया तेषां प्रदीप्त इव सर्वतः।पुन्नागास्सप्तपर्णाश्च चम्पकोद्दालकास्तथा।।।।विवृद्धमूला बहवश्शोभन्ते स्म सुपुष्पिताः।
sa deśaḥ prabhayā teṣāṃ pradīpta iva sarvataḥ |
punnāgāḥ saptaparṇāś ca campakoddālakās tathā ||
vivṛddhamūlā bahavaḥ śobhante sma supuṣpitāḥ |
That place, radiant with the glow of those trees, looked as though it were aflame on every side; punnāga and saptaparṇa, as well as campaka and uddālaka—many with deep-spreading roots—shone there in full bloom.
The grove shone bright as if it were inflamed fire with beautiful trees like purnaga, saptaparna, champak and uddalaka in full bloom.
Dharma appears through the motif of disciplined observation: the messenger of dharma (Hanumān) must see clearly and report truthfully (satya) before acting, even when surrounded by dazzling distractions.
