Shloka 5.15.45

अशोकवनिकायां सीतादर्शनम् (Sita Seen in the Ashoka Grove)

पीतं कनकपट्टाभं स्रस्तं तद्वसनं शुभम्।उत्तरीयं नगासक्तं तदा दृष्टं प्लवङ्गमैः।।।।

pītaṃ kanakapaṭṭābhaṃ srastaṃ tad vasanaṃ śubham |

uttarīyaṃ nagāsaktaṃ tadā dṛṣṭaṃ plavaṅgamaiḥ ||

“That auspicious upper garment—yellow, gleaming like cloth of gold—had slipped away; and when it caught upon a tree, the monkeys saw it there.”

"The shining yellow upper garment like a golden cloth was torn. Flung down, it stuck to a tree which the monkeys noticed.
