समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing

तस्य वानरसिंहस्य प्लवमानस्य सागरम्।।।।कक्षान्तरगतो वायुर्जीमूत इव गर्जति।

tasya vānarasiṃhasya plavamānasya sāgaram | kakṣāntaragato vāyur jīmūta iva garjati ||

As that lion among monkeys crossed the ocean, the wind rushing through his armpits roared like a thundercloud.

The wind passing through the arm pits of the lion-like vanara crossing the ocean sounded like a thundering cloud.

H
Hanumān
O
Ocean (Sāgara)

Dharma here is perseverance in a righteous task: even nature’s force (wind and roar) becomes a sign of committed effort toward restoring justice (finding Sītā).

During Hanumān’s ocean-crossing, the poet depicts the loud rush of air around his body, heightening the sense of momentum.

Utsāha (undaunted zeal) and bala (strength) directed toward duty.
