समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
प्राप्तभूयिष्ठपारस्तु सर्वतः प्रतिलोकयन्।।।।योजनानां शतस्यान्ते वनराजिं ददर्श सः।
prāptabhūyiṣṭhapāras tu sarvataḥ pratilokayan | yojanānāṃ śatasyānte vanarājiṃ dadarśa saḥ ||
Having reached the farther shore, he looked about on every side; at the end of a hundred yojanas he beheld a line of forest growth.
On reaching the other side of the shore crossing a hundred yojanas, he saw rows of forest trees.
Dharma is follow-through: righteous intention becomes meaningful when carried to completion—here symbolized by reaching the far shore and continuing the search.
Hanumān completes the vast crossing and surveys the terrain as he approaches the land/island region ahead.
Alertness (apramāda): after success, he remains vigilant, scanning his surroundings rather than relaxing prematurely.
