समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
तस्याः सकाशं दूतोऽहं गमिष्ये रामशासनात्।कर्तुमर्हसि रामस्य साह्यं विषयवासिनि।।।।
tasyāḥ sakāśaṃ dūto 'haṃ gamiṣye rāmaśāsanāt | kartum arhasi rāmasya sāhyaṃ viṣayavāsini ||
By Rāma’s command, I go as his messenger to her presence; you who dwell within his realm ought to render aid to Rāma.
"I am going as Rama's emissary to search for his wife. It is proper for you to render help since you are a resident of his kingdom.
Dharma as rightful service: Hanumān acts under legitimate command, and those within the sphere of righteousness are asked to support a just cause.
Hanumān identifies himself as Rāma’s envoy going to Sītā and requests Surasā’s cooperation.
Hanumān’s obedience and sense of responsibility as a dutiful messenger.
