समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
ततः प्रहर्षमगमद्विपुलं पर्वतोत्तमः।देवतानां पतिं दृष्ट्वा परितुष्टं शतक्रतुम्।।।।
tataḥ praharṣam agamad vipulaṃ parvatottamaḥ | devatānāṃ patiṃ dṛṣṭvā parituṣṭaṃ śatakratum ||
Thereupon the excellent mountain was filled with great joy on seeing the lord of the gods—Śatakratu (Indra)—so fully satisfied.
Thereafter Mainaka, the great mountain was delighted to see Indra, lord of the gods, performer of a hundred yajnas satisfied.
Dharma encourages reciprocal uplift: when righteous deeds are recognized by rightful authority, it strengthens the doer’s commitment to goodness.
After Indra’s commendation and blessing, the mountain feels deep joy at Indra’s satisfaction.
Rejoicing in dharmic validation—contentment rooted in having supported a righteous cause.
