सम्पातिवाक्यम् (Sampati’s Intelligence Report on Sita’s Abduction)
तत्र सत्त्वसहस्राणां सागरान्तरचारिणाम्।पन्थानमेकोऽध्यवसं सन्निरोद्धुमवाङ्मुखः।।।।
tatra sattva-sahasrāṇāṃ sāgarāntara-cāriṇām | panthānam eko 'dhyavasaṃ sanniroddhum avāṅmukhaḥ || 4.59.13 ||
‘There, looking downward, I stood alone, determined to obstruct the path of thousands of creatures that move within the ocean.’
'There I stood alone looking down, obstructing the path of thousands of creatures inhabiting the ocean.
Steadfast resolve (dhṛti): the verse highlights disciplined determination, a supportive virtue for dharmic missions when obstacles are vast.
The son describes his hunting posture: alone, vigilant, blocking a major aerial/traffic route used by many creatures.
Alertness and perseverance: he maintains position despite the scale of movement around him.
