तत्तु श्रुत्वा तथा वाक्यमङ्गदस्य मुखोद्गतम्।अब्रवीद्वचनं गृध्रस्तीक्ष्णतुण्डो महास्वनः।।।।

tat tu śrutvā tathā vākyam aṅgadasya mukhodgatam |

abravīd vacanaṃ gṛdhras tīkṣṇatuṇḍo mahāsvanaḥ ||

After hearing those words spoken by Aṅgada, the vulture—sharp-beaked and loud-voiced—replied.

On hearing the words that came from Angada's mouth, the sharp-beaked, loud-voiced vulture (Sampati) said:

A
Aṅgada
S
Sampāti

Dharma is expressed as truthful listening and responsible response: a dialogue grounded in hearing accurately before speaking.

Sampāti begins his reply immediately after hearing Aṅgada’s statement, marking a key turn where information and guidance will emerge.

Attentiveness and truthful speech—Sampāti responds only after understanding what was said.
