सम्पातिदर्शनम् (Encounter with Sampāti) — Angada’s Lament and the Vulture-King’s Response

Rama’s task has not been accomplished, nor has the King’s command been fulfilled; and suddenly this unforeseen calamity has befallen the monkeys.
'Rama's task has not been performed. Sugriva's order has not been excuted. And (now) suddenly this calamity has overtaken the monkeys unawares.
The Vanaras were dispatched by King Sugriva with a strict timeline to find Sita. Having failed to locate her within the stipulated period, Angada feels they have failed their Dharma and the King's direct orders.
The calamity is the existential crisis the monkeys face: they cannot return to Kishkindha out of fear of Sugriva's punishment for failure, leading them to contemplate fasting to death (Prayopavesha).
