अङ्गदस्य प्रायोपवेशननिश्चयः (Angada’s Resolve to Fast unto Death)

Rāghava—illustrious and true—who once clasped his hand in good faith and fulfilled his promise, has been forgotten by him; if he forgets such a benefactor, whose help will he ever remember?
'Sugriva has no steadfastness, purity of body and mind, compassion, rectitude, valour and patience.
Dharma includes gratitude and fidelity to one’s pledged relationship; forgetting a benefactor who acted in satya is moral failure.
As the monkeys face punishment for delay, they accuse Sugrīva of ingratitude toward Rāma, who had helped him regain the kingdom.
Satya-based loyalty: remembering obligations and repaying help received.
