स्वयंप्रभा-संवादः (Svayamprabha’s Dialogue with the Vanaras)

सर्वेषां परितुष्टाऽस्मि वानराणां तरस्विनाम्।।।।चरन्त्या मम धर्मेण न कार्यमिह केनचित्।

sarveṣāṃ parituṣṭāsmi vānarāṇāṃ tarasvinām | carantyā mama dharmeṇa na kāryam iha kenacit ||

I am wholly pleased with all of you, swift and mighty Vānara. Living in accord with my own dharma, I have no need here of service from anyone.

'I am very much pleased with all of you, smart monkeys. As I am engaged in the practice of righteousness, I do not need your services.ইত্যার্ষে শ্রীমদ্রামাযণে বাল্মীকীয আদিকাব্যে কিষ্কিন্ধাকাণ্ডে দ্বিপঞ্চাশস্সর্গঃ৷৷Thus ends the fifty-second sarga in Kishkindakanda of the first epic, the Holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.

V
vānarāḥ (monkeys)

Dharma here is disciplined right-conduct: the ascetic’s life is regulated by vows and self-restraint, so she does not seek or depend on others’ service, even when offered.

The southern search-party meets an ascetic woman; after acknowledging the vānaras, she expresses satisfaction with them and indicates she requires no assistance while she continues her dharmic observances.

Austerity joined with contentment (tapas with santoṣa): she is pleased yet detached, maintaining independence and steadiness in her righteous practice.
