पृथिवीमण्डलपरिज्ञानम् — Sugriva on Surveying the Earth’s Regions
ततोऽहं वालिना तेन साऽनुबद्धः प्रधावितः।नदीश्च विविधाः पश्यन्वनानि नगराणि च।।4.46.12।।
tato 'haṃ vālinā tena sā'nubaddhaḥ pradhāvitaḥ |
nadīś ca vividhāḥ paśyan vanāni nagarāṇi ca || 4.46.12 ||
Then I ran on, pursued by that Vālī, seeing many rivers, forests, and towns along the way.
It underscores the human cost when dharma breaks down: the innocent are forced into flight and instability, while society (towns/forests/riverlands) becomes a backdrop to unjust violence.
Sugrīva continues narrating his escape across many landscapes while being pursued by Vālī.
