That heroic monkey, the Wind-god’s son, standing foremost amid the great strength of the vānaras, shone like the moon—its orb pure—in a cloudless sky adorned by hosts of stars.
O Hanuman! son of the Wind-god, O valiant among the Vanaras, I bank on your strength. Do whatever you can with your mighty valour so that the daughter of Janaka can be found.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē kiṣkindhākāṇḍē catuścatvāriṅśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the fortyfourth sarga in Kishkindakanda of the first epic, the Holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
Dharma is the radiance of virtue in service: when one undertakes a righteous task, excellence naturally stands out and inspires the community.
As the vānaras assemble, Hanumān is depicted as preeminent among them, shining with heroic presence.
Leadership through merit—Hanumān’s greatness and inspiring prominence among allies.
