पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः (Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita)
महेन्द्रकान्तां वनषण्डमण्डितांदिशं चरित्वा निपुणेन वानराः।अवाप्य सीतां रघुवंशजप्रियांततो निवृत्तास्सुखिनो भविष्यथ।।4.40.70।।
ta ime bahusāhasrair anīkaiḥ bhīmavikramaiḥ |
āgatā vānarā ghorā daityadānavasannibhāḥ || 4.40.7 ||
Here have come those dreadful vanaras, with forces numbering many thousands—fighters of terrifying prowess, resembling Daityas and Dānavas in might.
'O monkeys! go about the beloved quarter (east) of Indra bestowed with differnt kinds of forests and groves.
