पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः (Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita)
सर्वमेतद्विचेतव्यं मृगयद्भिस्ततस्ततः।रामस्य दयितां भार्यां सीतां दशरथस्नुषाम्।।4.40.24।।
sarvam etad vicetavyaṃ mṛgayadbhis tataḥ tataḥ |
rāmasya dayitāṃ bhāryāṃ sītāṃ daśarathasnuṣām ||4.40.24||
Searching again and again, you must investigate all these places—for Sītā, Rāma’s beloved wife, the daughter-in-law of Daśaratha.
'Search all over the place looking carefully here and there for Sita the beloved consort of Rama, daughter-in-law of Dasaratha.
Dharma is unwavering commitment to a righteous task: the search must be exhaustive and persistent until truth (satya) is found.
Sugrīva issues a clear command that every previously named region must be thoroughly searched for Sītā.
