Lakshmana Enters Kishkindha: Anger, Tara’s Mediation, and Sugriva Encountered
सा पानयोगाद्विनिवृत्तलज्जादृष्टिप्रसादाच्च नरेन्द्रसूनोः।उवाच तारा प्रणयप्रगल्भंवाक्यं महार्थं परिसान्त्वपूर्वम्।।।।
sā pāna-yogād vinivṛtta-lajjā dṛṣṭi-prasādāc ca narendra-sūnoḥ | uvāca tārā praṇaya-pragalbhaṃ vākyaṃ mahārthaṃ pari-sāntva-pūrvam ||
Freed of shyness by her intoxication and heartened by the prince’s softened gaze, Tārā spoke—affectionate yet assured—words of great import, beginning with conciliation.
Setting aside her shyness for being in a drunken state, and observing Lakshmana's favourable disposition, she spoke meaningful words in a pleasing manner with friendly eloquence:
Dharma in communication: meaningful counsel should begin with calming speech, aiming to reduce anger and restore right order.
