लक्ष्मणक्रोधः सुग्रीवप्रबोधनं च (Lakshmana’s Wrath and the Summoning of Sugriva)
स एष राघवभ्राता लक्ष्मणो वाक्यसारथिः।व्यवसायरथः प्राप्तस्तस्य रामस्य शासनात्।।
sa ēṣa rāghavabhrātā lakṣmaṇō vākyasārathiḥ | vyavasāyarathaḥ prāptas tasya rāmasya śāsanāt ||
This is Lakṣmaṇa, Rāghava’s brother—bearing Rāma’s words as his charioteer and driven by resolve as his chariot—who has come by Rāma’s command.
'By the command of Rama, his brother has come to you, Rama's words as charioteer and his work as chariot'.
Dharma includes faithful execution of a righteous command: Lakṣmaṇa acts as an agent of Rāma’s truthful purpose, guided by speech aligned with duty and propelled by firm resolve.
The ministers characterize Lakṣmaṇa’s arrival as an official mission—he comes under Rāma’s directive, not as a private quarrel.
Lakṣmaṇa’s obedience, determination, and clarity of purpose as a dharma-driven envoy.
