Shloka 4.27.18
प्रस्रवणगिरिवासवर्णनम् (Residence on Mount Prasravana; Counsel during the Rains)
वानीरैस्तिमिशैश्चैव वकुलैः केतकैर्धवैः।हिन्तालैस्तिनिशैर्नीपैर्वेत्रकैः कृतमालकैः4.27.18।।तीरजैश्शोभिता भाति नानारूपै स्ततस्ततः।वसनाभरणोपेता प्रमदेवाभ्यलङ्कृता4.27.19।।
vānīrais timiśaiś caiva vakulaiḥ ketakair dhavaiḥ |
hintālaiḥ tiniśair nīpair vetrakaiḥ kṛtamālakaiḥ || 4.27.18 ||
tīra-jaiḥ śobhitā bhāti nānā-rūpaiḥ tatas tataḥ |
vasanābharaṇopetā pramadevābhyalaṅkṛtā || 4.27.19 ||
Adorned along its banks by many forms of riverside growth—vānīra reeds, timiśa, vakula, ketaka, dhava, hintāla, tiniśa, nīpa, vetraka, and kṛtamālaka—this river shines here and there, like a lovely woman dressed and ornamented.
'See the different kinds of trees like canes timida, vakula, ketaka, hintala, tinisa, kadamba, dhava, krutamalaka, betasa grown here and there on the bank (of the river), which looks beautiful like a woman decorated with clothes and ornaments.
Respect for the world that supports dharma: the river is portrayed as richly adorned, reminding the listener to value and protect sustaining environments while pursuing righteous goals.
