वालिनः और्ध्वदैहिकम् — Vali’s Funeral Rites and the Consolation of the Bereaved
आदाय शिबिकां तारस्स तु पर्यापतत्पुनः।वानरैरुह्यमानां तां शूरैरुद्वहनोचितैः4.25.21।।
ādāya śibikāṃ tāraḥ sa tu paryāpatat punaḥ | vānarair uhyamānāṃ tāṃ śūrais udvahanocitaiḥ || 4.25.21 ||
Having obtained the palanquin, Tārā hurried back to it again, as it was being borne aloft by heroic vānaras fit to carry such a load.
Tara jumped in on to the litter carried by strong monkeys.
Collective duty: many act together so that the required rites can proceed respectfully and efficiently.
The palanquin is brought out and carried by strong vānaras; Tārā returns with it for the funeral proceedings.
Cooperation and readiness to serve: the vānaras undertake physically demanding work to support dharmic rites.
