Shloka 4.21.1

ताराशोकविनोदनम् (Consolation of Tara and Counsel on Succession)

ततो निपतितां तारां च्युतां तारामिवाम्बरात्।शनैराश्वासयामास हनुमान्हरियूथपः।।

tato nipatitāṁ tārāṁ cyutāṁ tārām ivāmbarāt | śanair āśvāsayāmāsa hanumān hariyūthapaḥ ||

Then Hanumān, a leader among the monkey hosts, gently consoled Tārā, fallen down like a star that has slipped from the sky.

Thereafter Hanuman, leader of the monkey clan, slowly consoled Tara who was (standing before her husband) like a star fallen from the sky.

Dharma here is compassion in action: offering gentle counsel to one overwhelmed by grief, helping them return to duty and truth-based clarity.

After Tārā collapses in sorrow, Hanumān approaches and begins to comfort her.

Hanumān’s empathy and steadiness—he responds to tragedy with supportive guidance.
