ताराविलापः — Tara’s Lament and Counsel after Vali’s Fall

अभार्याश्च सभार्याश्च सन्त्यत्र वनचारिणः।लुब्धेभ्यो विप्रयुक्तेभ्यस्तेभ्यो नस्तुमुलं भयम्।।

Transliteration

abhāryāś ca sabhāryāś ca santy atra vanacāriṇaḥ | lubdhebhyo viprayuktebhyas tebhyo nas tumulaṃ bhayam ||

Translation

“Here are forest-roaming monkeys—some without wives and some with wives; some are covetous and some are separated from their wives. From such men we face fierce danger.”

'There are monkeys wandering in the forest (sent away by Vali). Some of them have made others' wives their own and some have been separated from their wives. They are a great cause of fear.'
