“O monkey, do not grieve on this account. Do not worry about us, nor even about yourself, O best of monkeys. We have reached our decision in accordance with dharma, considering your particular offense.”
'O best of monkeys, abandon all your anxiety on this score. Bother not about us or about yourself. Whatever has happened, has happened in consonance with dharma.
The same dharmic teaching is reiterated (a feature sometimes seen in recensional transmission): righteous decision-making is upheld as deliberate and principled.
The reassurance to Vāli is repeated in the received Southern Recension phrasing, reinforcing the consolatory message.
Consistency and steadiness—Rāma’s stance is not impulsive; it is repeatedly anchored in dharma.
